Instructional Support Services

Response to Intervention

Response to Intervention (RtI) is a three-tier model of educational program delivery that establishes a relationship between data, student need, and instructional intervention and support. This relationship fosters collaboration between campus administrators, teachers, and other staff which create the best outcomes for all students. The underlying premise is that schools should not wait until students fail classes or fall so far behind that they qualify for special education services to provide them with the help they need. Instead, schools should provide early, systematic, and appropriately intensive academic and behavioral intervention to all students as soon as they demonstrate the need.
